Recognized by the State Superintendent

It’s amazing the way the internet makes the world shrink.  I had an email recently from a superintendent from New York who read my state’s ‘weekly message’ and noticed the brief mention of the School Library Journal’s School Librarian of the Year announcement. He had a dozen or so questions about making the transition from a traditional library to a 21st century one.  I was able to direct him to many of my past writings and offered as much wisdom as I had.  I’m grateful for the acknowledgement and even more so the connections that are being made across the constantly ‘shrinking’ globe.
